This site uses 2-star Star Battle: exactly two stars in every row, column, and region.

Can stars touch diagonally?

No. Stars cannot touch by side or by corner.

Is Star Battle free to play?

The site is designed for free browser play. Google sign-in is only for saving progress when configured.

What modes are included?

The briefed product includes 200 levels, a daily 5-puzzle pack, and unlimited mode.

What is the best beginner strategy?

Count legal cells, complete rows or regions with exactly two remaining cells, and clean adjacency after every star.

This policy explains what Star Battle collects, why it is used, and which third-party services support the site. Analytics, OAuth, Cloudflare, and storage resources are configured independently for starbattle.online; unknown production values stay inactive or TBD until configured.

Information we collect

When you sign in, we may receive the Google account details needed to identify your account, such as your account id, email address, display name, and profile image. We also store puzzle progress such as unlocked levels, completed levels, best times, daily pack progress, replay state, and settings needed to run the game.

Guest play, local storage, and cookies

Guest progress can be saved in your browser with localStorage. Signing in can merge that local progress into your account. Authentication uses Star Battle session, CSRF, callback, state, nonce, and PKCE cookies with a starbattle cookie prefix. Your browser or device settings can clear local progress and cookies.

How we use data

We use this information to provide sign-in, sync progress across devices, restore games, publish daily puzzle progress, protect the service from abuse, debug reliability problems, and understand aggregate site usage when analytics are enabled.

Third-party services

Google OAuth and Google Identity Services support sign-in. Cloudflare hosts the site and may provide Pages, D1 storage, Turnstile checks, and related infrastructure. If configured, Google Analytics, Microsoft Clarity, Umami, or Ahrefs analytics may measure site usage. These services must use Star Battle's own IDs, not Queens configuration.

Sharing and public links

Shared puzzle links may include a level, date, or seed so another visitor can play the same challenge. Shared links should not include your Google email, profile image, or private account identifier.

Retention and deletion

We keep account progress while your account remains active or while needed to operate and secure the service. You can clear guest data from your browser. To request deletion of account progress or ask a privacy question, contact [email protected].

Children and sensitive data

Star Battle is a general logic puzzle site and is not directed to children under 13. Do not send sensitive personal information through support messages or shared puzzle links.
